Guess I have just never understood some of these posts about the female pro players. There are of course some very attractive ladies out there in this game & also very talented players as well. When I watch the women's pro events I don't watch it because one is attractive I watch it to see the game... I could care less what the they look like.

Guys post about which of the ladies are foxy simply because at the heart of every grown man lives a 12 year old boy who still grunts and chuckles Beavis and Butthead style every time a pretty girl walks by. As for including this picture in a press release, when was the last time DP put out a press release that was even remotely professional or tasteful.

As for why I seem to obsess over the hotties, mostly its just to help break the absurd stereotype that the only women who play pool are biker chicks and flannel shirt wearing, mullet sporting throwbacks (not that there's anything wrong with biker chicks or ladies who know that its business in the front and party in the back). As for the new girl, I'll hold off judgment until she can beat Jeanette Lee in an exhibition race to 3 put on by DP (as that is what turns DP ladies from unknowns into international pool playing superstars from what I hear).

Pools atmosphere quite honestly sucks. The only people I ever see playing or older people who aren't the future of pool, or ghetto thugs. Young attractive people have no reason to get involved with that.

You're at the wrong places... Show up on any league night at the place I play (which is Sun-Thursday) and you'll see a lot of young attractive people playing. Even on the weekly Friday night tournament we have a mix of ages and genders, all the way from the hot 19yo girl who is a regular to the dumpy middle aged guys...

I've also been many many places though, and i've seen the same sh*t. Ugly biker chicks who don't take care of themselves make up the majority of the female players.

It's nice that you have a lucky spot. Unfortunately, from what i've been around and seen, you are in the lucky 1%.

Look, I think you're missing my point.

I'm sure she is a very nice girl who works really hard on her game. I'm sure if I had met her in person not knowing about this scandal, I probably would like her...And maybe she does play "decent"??? But -

1. Does decent amateur level player really belong in WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP tournament? Rubbing shoulders with elite top ranked players from each country?

2. What has she done to receive so much publicity?

3. Just why did she get the invite? Was there like a Internet lotto for any amateur player to just sign up and get an invite?

4. Why didn't the "REAL PROS" get any press release?

What the HELL!!! If it's open for the amateur, then WHY DIDN'T I GET AN INVITE?
