I was at a fast eddie's 9 ball tourney last summer in Austin and a couple of guys were using a red looking jump cue i think the shaft was made out of purple heart wood and had some type of glass tip

i broke my jump cue 3 weeks ago and need a new one

trying to find out the builder of the jump cue i like the looks of them

i not sure but i think that Sylver Ochoa had one but i can't remember that was almost a year ago

thanks for your help

Several cue makers have been using purpleheart in jump cues. PM BigTruck or AkaTrigger as they may be able to help you.

thanks, i just got off the phone with jack about 8:30 and he said the jump cue will be ready in about 6 weeks.

I once had a Kangaroo jump cue that could fly over balls effortlessly and I would definitely recommend it. They are fairly cheap, but come with phenolic tips. I know that some people despise the phenolic tip. If you don't like phenolic tips then I would recommend the Cuetec Eliminator Jump/Break.

Stealth makes the air time series which is what i have. they are extremely light have little to no vibration when you strike the ball and also have an extra extension for longer shots. the factory tip though is the equivilant to a water buffalo and would need to be upgraded. I personally use a white diamond which makes it almost cheating easy to get the ball up and its gets up lightning fast also

the break sticks r the nuts too.

I told Jack to make me a break cue also, it's been about 10 weeks i talked to him and he said the break cue was finished. And the wood for the jump cue was still wet thats what has been the hold up. good things come to those who wait

does anyone have a pic of his jump cue with the black and white butt he does not have any on his web site

If you'd like to hear a review on a jump cue I'll be getting my Lomax tomorrow. I won't get a chance to use it till the weekend :(, but I will be posting a review nonetheless.

I am as excited as can be about getting to see this cue.

Since the BCAPL made phenolic illegal you might want to consider a jump cue with leather.

yeah, i thought about that and got the break cue also from jack because it has a purple heart shaft with a hard leather tip that way i will have both just in case i can't use the G10 tip i will just use the other shaft with the leather tip

lomax jumper = the nuts.

I know this might not be what you are looking for, but I would seriously recommend the Cuetec Sky Jump... It jumps anything soo easily, it weighs nothing with the short handle and I've gotten it down to jump balls with a chalks distance, and I'm really just a beginner.
