Curly Narra BlackCreek

Now that is real pretty, Berny. You have a total groove on for the wrapless full splice.....and I dig it:smile:

What he said!

Seriously, wrapless fullsplice is an AWESOME look and feel for a cue. And you have quite the collection of some of these beauties.

I know I commented on this one already but I can't help but come back to it. Its hot!

The wood in this cue is just beautiful and it would have been a shame to put a wrap on it. I like the feel of a wrapless cue and I need to find one for my small collection. Congrats.........

Thanks to all my dear Friends

I want to thank you all for the nice words.
It's always a pleasure to share some pics of a nice Cue to Friends who also have a appreciation for it.

Travis Cues play pretty well and i prefer the wrapless feeling

Lisa ...i will keep it safely for you ... but in this case we have to find a Trade for your TUCKER :ok::duck:

Thanks again for the Love ... i appreciate it a lot :smile-square:

Best

Berny,

That is a wonderful pick that reflects good taste. I assume it has been a fine experience dealing with Troy from onthehill :) I know I have seen this cue there and it caught my eye...

So, how do you like the joint and the shafts particularly - I know you have mentioned these but what is your detailed experience? [if I may ask]

Congratulations, once again!
Yours,
David

Hey Mate,

it was indeed a pretty fine experience to deal with Troy

Well about the Joint .... i have to say that this typ of joint works very well for the whole concept of Travis Cue-Engineering ... it provides a strong fitting and excellent Feedback. As you know i normaly do prefer 5-16/14 piloted Joints ... but in this case it does also work for me pretty well.

The Standart-Taper from Travis is a little bit too thick for my Taste ... but its my personal preference and i can handle it.
I don't like to use other Shafts then the original Shafts from the Cuemaker which comes with a cue ... it would just not be the same cue, when i would use a Z-Shaft or some other lowdeflection Shafts.

I good constructed cue is a well considered Concept from the Bumper to the Tip ... and if i would replace the original Shaft than the cue would just be a half BlackCreek (or what ever other Cuemakers) ...

A Cue has to work as a whole Concept .... useing other Shafts would mean like "cheating" to me

But as i said "thats just ME and MY Opinion".

I love to switch my cues and challenge themself among each other.
It's a kind of game and fun for me, to find out my personal Favorite inside the Collection.

Thanks again.

Apparently you search for the very same things in cues as I and I believe that using other shafts just isn't the right thing to do. I would like to try pre-cat 314 shafts though for longer time as I have already played with one but only briefly.

I also think that a cuemaker or cue builder should build and consider everything, should select the tips and decide even on the type of the bumper, not to mention all those very important factors like wood selection, taper, weight distribution, etc.

Comparing cues to each other is great fun and meanwhile appreciating those cue builders' work who deserve it is even better!

Wow! That's some really gorgeous wood in that cue. Beautiful!

Thanks Dude .... you know i love your onepiece Young

which would be ?

The lowest cue on the pic Buddy
