Been playing pool off and on for a long time. Lately I've been playing a LOT more than usual, to the tune of 2-3 hours of practice every other day, so I decided to get serious about my equipment. I picked up a new sneaky pete, jump cue, and some accessories, as well as having a custom cue ordered. Lately I've been looking at picking up a Schon to shoot with while I wait on my custom. I've even gone so far as planning out the next 2 custom builds that I want. I think I might be developing a problem. :embarrassed2:

If it makes you happy and you can afford it and you can work it out with your significant other, why not? What custom did you order?

Fuc@ it bro. Let it rip, potato chip. You could have worse hobbies. I have a good friend just went into rehab for speedballing meth and heroin. Ask his wife if your hobbies are outta control. Guy has a Masters Degree from Wake Forest in Banking and Finance. What a waste. I hope he gets it together soon. He's a cool dude and very nice guy. But, for the last two years, watch your personal belongings. And, don't leave him alone in your home. See, it could be worse.

Comparatively speaking pool is a cheap hobby. Fishing, racing and golf are much more expensive, especially racing. I know guys who have refinanced their houses to buy a motor or car to race. Between my earnings from youtube, some bar tournament wins pool has not cost me a dime and I have allot of good equipment.

If you have the money and your bills are paid why not pick up some nice cues? I have never regretted buying a cue.

It's true, there are MUCH worse hobbies that I could be into, hadn't thought of it that way. And trust me, I know how expensive racing can be, I've got an RX-7 with an LS1 swapped in, that thing is a money pit of epic proportions.

Jim Lee is creating a cue from a design that I pieced together. I'm ridiculously excited about it because he's letting me be really O.C.D. about everything. I can't wait until it's done.

How to make a small forune in racing (or pool).

Start with a big fortune.

LoL welcome to the club. I am happy as hell with the custom I have now, but I am planning the perfect custom in my head now as I have been for several months.

I took 10 years off and came back about almost a year and a half ago. In that time I have bought 2 Dale Perry's, 1 Carolina Custom, 1 Fury J/B, 1 J&J J/B, 1 Steve Lomax J/B, 1 OB-1 and 1 314-2. I have also sold one DP, the Fury, J&J and the OB-1. Not only do I have the idea in my head, but I won't tell anyone because I don't want to see it before I get it.

Someone told me that a long time ago when I walked up to a table of guys playing keno. He said, "If ya wanna find out how to make a big roll of money turn into a little roll of money go ahead and play this game."
