please help identify wood

i bought this piece of wood on e-bay and was told it was curly brazilian rosewood.
i know they went back and dug up some of the stumps of the endangered rosewood and i have seen pieces that look similar to this piece.
the wood cut like rosewood, smelled like rosewood, and the dust on the sandpaper looked like coco powder,and the wood has great chatoyancy, but i still want other opinions.

looks like the Brazilian stump wood to me.the Brazilian smell is fairly unmistakable too.

I was about to ask what the hell 'chatoyancy' was so I Googled it and came up with the following :

Chatoyance, is an optical reflectance effect seen in certain gemstones.

Chatoyancy can also be used to refer to a similar effect in woodworking, where certain finishes will cause the wood grain to achieve a striking three-dimensional appearance.

Man, I'm glad I dropped in today, I learnt a new word.
Even 'spell-check' doesn't recognize this word.

My guess would be Br. Rswd also. One damn fine specimen to boot.

The piece certainly looks like it could be coco...I have a few pieces with that type of figure. BUT, it looks just as much like BR. I see no reason to doubt it provided the vendor has no history of selling misleading woods.
