I like this new format (to me) that the DMIRO Tour has. Two seperate brackets one amature and one pro. Final 4 from each bracket meet in the final 8. I think I got that right. What do you all think of the format. Four amatuers have to cash this way. I vote good format. Johnnyt

I like it. I'm debating entering their tournament at Capone's in Spring Hill, FL over Thanksgiving weekend this year as I'm going to be down there visiting my family.

Is this a free ad for their tournament?

...just yanking your chain :p

So if only 4 pros sign up, they don't have to play until the final 8 and then are paired up with 4 amateurs?

Just wondering..

Thanks

Thanks for all the kind words.

As far as pros, yes Sean Morgan is, as he is the only person that beat Allen! He playes great!..

The pro bracket is for Open and Pro players, so we should get more than 4 at each event.

However, if we only get 4, well they don't play until the final 8.

This is a guarantee that the amateurs will get paid every tournament.

Look at New York, an amature was in the finals! Now had we played a normal tournamenet would he have been in the hot seat? Maybe...

Also we rated the players so they can see how they played, if you have a high rating and you got knocked out that normally is becuase you had a bad draw and had to play a much better player...

Everyone reallyed liked the format and I hope to see all of you at our events!

Thanks again for the kind words.

If there are only 4 pros present, they will each play one match, so that there are 2 pros on the winner's side and 2 on the loser's side, prior to entering the final 8 person bracket.

Too early for me to make a final opinion on the format yet, but I must say that I think they are on to something.

True

Yes, Geoff was right, I mis spoke. If there are 4 pros, they will play 1 match to get 2 on the loser side and 2 on the winners side. Then we redraw 4 loser side, and 4 winner side in the 8 player bracket!
