I am Jack's bitter disappointment . . . (ala the movie Fight Club)

A local auction house was scheduled to auction off this lathe today. It's a very clean 42" Lablonde Regal with servo shift. I had seen the pictures last week, but I really don't need another lathe right now, so I didn't think too much about it... but it would make a good cue lathe. Well, auction time rolled around today and just for kicks I thought I'd throw out a $1,500 proxy bid on it, and if I win it, I win it. So I entered in my bid amount and was greeted by a message saying that the item was already sold . . . for $1,300. :thud:
I've been kicking myself all day long.

Looks like a great lathe. Just like me, "A day late and a dollar short".
Don't feel too bad, If I kicked my butt for a week everytime something like that happened to me, I'd be in a permanent ass kicking contest for the rest of my life.
