So can you go from a Kiln directly to a humidity controlled environment and expect the wood to be in it's best possible state when you are ready to use it for a cue?
Say someone constructs a kiln to dry the wood. This kiln would have a source of heat as well as a fan to move the air around the wood. After the wood has dried sufficiently, it is moved to another kiln like environment that is temperature and humidity controlled. So the wood reaches a proper moisture content, then is kept at or near that number until you are ready to use for a cue. You would pull it out on cutting dates, as long as it is not raining that day, make your pass, and put it back into the wood vault. Maybe you core it at some point as well, but you still keep it sheltered in the perfect environment. Will this wood react any better than wood left out in the open, in your shop, acclimating it's self to the changing conditions of the shop? What is over-kill, and what is proper preservation?
