About 2 weeks ago I purchased a cue on E-BAY.....When it arrived I left a positive feed back....The seller has yet to leave me one back. I have e-mailed him twice and asked him to follow up, but no response....
Is there any way to contact E-BAY and ask to have the feed back removed that I left ???
This will be the 5th time this has happened to me. Why do some sellers never return the favor ??? I don't get it

The seller can no longer leave feedback on Ebay.

The seller can no longer leave NEGATIVE feedback on ebay... as I understand it. PLUS, imo, the the seller should leave feedback first as the buyer has completed their part of the transaction by paying promptly. I've got 402 feedbacks but have given out more like 500 as a buyer. The sellers have not done me right.

It is correct that the seller can not leave negative feedback. However, I disagree about the seller leaving feedback first. The feedback should be left after both parties are satisfied with the transaction. I've been in some fierce arguments about this on another forum some years ago and was one of the reasons I left it and the hobby connected with it. That was the first time I had run across that attitude and we have been selling on Ebay since 1998 with over four thousand transactions and are/am a power seller. I was accused of "holding feedback hostage" and was called a thief on a public forum. I simply cannot understand this. We have always left feedback when assured that the transaction is to both parties' satisfaction. If it isn't, we have always tried to make it right, to the best of our ability. It's just NOT how things are supposed to be done.

Some people don't care about doing the right thing. I bet i've missed 50 positive feedbacks from sellers and buyers that I left a good feedback for them and they never left me a thing.

This is common on Ebay these days, unfortunately. Feedback is actually a courtesy, not a requirement. We get positive feedback from most buyers but many just don't bother. As sellers, if we don't hear from the buyer in a certain amount of time as to anything being wrong with the item, we simply leave positive feedback as a matter of course. The biggest problem we encounter is that many people don't read the entire listing, especially the shipping terms. They expect the item in their mailbox the day after the auction.
Suggest you just forget it and move on. Some people are a whole lot better about feedback then others.

Your leaving of feedback should not be contingent on the seller leaving it as well. If your transaction went well, leave feedback. If you're lucky they will leave feedback as well, if not, oh well.

Well then I, as a buyer, should wait until I know you are going to give me my earned feedback.. then you'll get yours. You ARE holding my feedback hostage if you don't give me my feedback after I pay. I've earned it. I've done my part of the deal and you're just making dammed sure you don't get bad feedback by not giving me what I"ve already earned. It wasn't me you argued with before but I'm dammed upset thast I've left about 100 more feedback than I've received and it's because you sellers don't leave it after I"ve paid.

I have to wait to see if you're going to do the right thing. Well screw that. YOU wait.

I, unlike some people, have no problem waiting. Why should you get feedback before the transaction is complete??? According to you, you then should have no recourse if the item isn't satisfactory because your part of the transaction is over. When we signed on with Ebay, it was suggested that feedback not be left by either party until the transaction was finished. We leave feedback after a time if we don't hear from the buyer that the item wasn't satisfactory. I find your last statement insulting, to say the least. You're assuming something based, not on any experience with me, but with others.
If someone takes the time and trouble to send us a message that they are satisfied with the transaction, we are more than happy to leave feedback FIRST. That's also a common courtesy. That's NOT the same as leaving feedback before the transaction is complete. I'm sorry you've had bad experiences with this but I think it's due to your own expectations.
