Shots, Moves and Strategies and Winning One Pocket

T-dog,

I would like to apologize for hijacking your For Sale thread.

Best of luck on the sale !

As for paper-backs, I don't see that ever happening. As for getting back into business again, that may or may not ever happen as well.

Mr. Robin,
Was the intended 3rd one-pocket book in the series ever completed and just not published or was it just in the planning stages? Would definitely buy it like a lot of other people if you ever decide to publish it.

Thanks.

Reply Regarding the 3rd In Series of One-Pocket Books

Had lots of leftover shots that would have made the SMS book far too large (wanted my books to all be same size, format, etc.) and so decided to publish that third book back in 1996 or 1997. Same thing happened with my intended books of shot repertoire in 3-cushion billiards; had too many leftovers from both the 500 BASIC SHOTS OF 3-CUSHION and the 500 ADVANCED SHOTS OF 3-CUSHION and so the third in that series will have to be 500 INTERMEDIATE SHOTS OF 3-CUSHION.

Believe most of what was accomplished on that third one-pocket book since then was when finally got back to it in either 1999 or 2000. I have not even looked at it again since then; I stopped working on that third book partially from realizing how some vital tech re strategy in that book actually belonged in the Winning one-pocket book and not in the follow-up, MORE SHOTS MOVES & STRATEGIES.

Though I'll never give up trying, I may never manage to get back to publishing more titles and postponed further work on one-pocket partially because I believe books on 14.1 are what would now be best for the billiard world. Believe that third one-pocket book has been in around a state of 50% completion ever since.

Some have noticed how all of much value (other than various shots of course) published on the one-pocket game since my books had previously been covered in my first two, whereas the previously mentioned vital tech re strategy-methodology in the third and last book of the series remains nowhere to be found. I find the fact that what I’d published is continually seen in various writings but nothing in my third book has been found in the works of others is a quite revealing fact I'd think!

For a better game,
Eddie Robin

Thank you for your interest in that third book. Sorry, but I've not even looked at it in several years. People forget what was available for the game before Winning One-Pocket in 1993 and even before Shots Moves & Strategies in 1996. Nothing of any value to speak of!

If I do manage to get back into publishing my titles, I might continue to publish the first two and postpone the third of any future three-book series for an unspecified period. That figures to make things a bit more difficult for those who, with insufficient logic are unable to think original thoughts, would reword my work in theirs while failing to even provide a mention of me or mine. The current absence of certain tech found only in such "third books" of mine will make what I've written here a bit more obvious when they are finally published.

Getting cranky as I age or maybe this reply had to do with the wrong side of the bed. All you wanted was my third book and so I'll thank you again for appreciating my work.
