How Do The Pros get their tournament info?

I know most smart and sucessful pros have a game plan of tournament dates way in advance. I'm sure they fill in the major and the bigger purse tournaments in their area or even travel to them if it looks like they could make a pay day. I would think they need to know at least 6 months ahead of time. My question is how do they get the info ahead of time for the smaller ones they might want to go to from? Do they get called or e-mailed ahead of everyone else? Johnnyt

There is always one person in every state that seems to know where and when, i get call's everyweek from glenn olen asking whats up........inside english mag & rackm mag. Cover alot of area also.................otb

I asked Mike Davis that question just a couple of years ago. He said he gets his info from this website.

Here a GREAT website for just that-Unfortunately it is only for events in the Tri-State area.

From what I've personally seen, a lot of it is word of mouth when they go to tournaments. People are always asking them "are you going to X tournament?"

Word of mouth...unbelievable. It's a wonder they got rid of their tom-toms and signal fires and got cellphones. Only in pool. Johnnyt
