Hi all out there!
I´m always looking for nice affortable simple players that i collect or resell to players in germany for small money.
The cues need to have a small or minimal deflection (very important), without using laminated Shafts. (No Pred, OB, Tiger...) They may be stiff, but this is not so much important than beeing really accurate...
I made good experiances with Cognoscenti, Cameron, a G10-Olivier, BCM, Josey, Omen, some old Hueblers and BHQ. (and some german cuemakers, of course)
I belive to know that CAM and Bob Frey will do very accurate playing cues to.
I want to try out the following Cuemakers, but have no idea what will expect me.
Jim Buss, Rick Howard, Schurtz, Steve Klein, Ned Morris, Shawn Putman, Dan Trogdon.
Can anybody give me informations?
Of course i´m open to other advices.

I enjoyed playing with a Shawn Putman cue last week. However, it was NOT a cheap cue (ivory joint and ferrules)! I know Shawn makes some affordable players, and you can reach him at 330-518-7550. The folks at Ice Breakers in Austintown Ohio swear by his cues!

BTW, what price range do you consider "affordable"?

Next to Bob Frey, I think Jim Buss makes the best sneaky pete. his cues hit well and are very reasonably priced. 5/16x14 joint and wood rings.

thanks for telling me your expiriences. I know the most makers do cues that hits very well if they are in buisiness longer time and want to stay there... ;-)))
For me most important is if they are playing very exactly with a minimum deflection.
Affortable depents on the cue. Of course i can sell a 4-Pointer Hoppe with Leather-Wrap better than a Plaine Jane and for the PJ i will get more than for a hustler-sneaky or a Housecue-Conversion. Affortable for me is under 600 for a PJ, under 300 for a Hustler and under 900 for a simple but nice Fourpointer, if they are with one shaft and used in very good condition. Of course there are exceptions. It will be difficult to get a Cognoscenti PJ under 600...for example.

Cory Barnhart cues are fantastic cues....firm playing with exceptional workmanship. Very, very tight tolerances and attention to detail. Your customers would love his cues.

I haven't played w/ the cues you mentioned but have a suggestion. You may want to check out a Bryan Fisher Cue. I had read how good they play and they are right. The one I have has a nice solid hit, but its very low deflection and you can easily get as much english as you can from a Predator or OB1 shaft. Its an accurate and great feeling cue in my opinion.

Cory Barnhart was suggested to me the second time now. I think i will check m out... I was in contact with Bryan Fisher some weeks ago, cause buying one of his cues, but i think we had a misunderstanding. I expected that we was ready with the deal and after i didin`t hear anything for a week or so the cue had been sold to somebody else... Maybe it was my bad English... but i will try it again with Bryan.
