Irish Line Instalation

I use white, Elmers glue for installation and either spray starch or a non-silicone furniture polish for burnishing.

Like Ryan said...Elmers works well. I also really like the large glue sticks, as they are a little neater to work with.

I use the good ol' Elmer's (and maybe a sprinkle of water) and starch for polishing. Been meaning to try the glue stick sometime.

I 1st saw an Irish linen installation, at the Mcdermott factory. They brushed on a coat of clear urathane, under the linen. I've been using that method for 25 years & have no problems. For a top dressing I use a hand spray bottle of starch. I spray it, press it, then use a trick I learned from Joe Gold. I use a single edge razor blade(as a scrapper), & take all of the high spots down. Then I spray & press a 2nd time. I follow that with a thinned out coating of shellac, as a sealer...JER
