A friend of mine has come up with a great idea...Customize your Delta Elite Racks. It also helps deaden the sound as well.

It really works well, and they look GREAT. Long lasting, high quality, leather inserts. They will never wear out. Several to choose from...

Take a peek, they are listed in the 'For Sale' section.... http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=163396

Anyone try this on their wife? Will they deaden the sound?

Those are gorgeous inserts. I also like the no adhesive needed - very user friendly. I've seen and used inserts before.

The first time I Delta racked with (a dense pad) insert I did a double take on the rack, thinking it was plastic! It was that drastic a change.

KK9 <-- hates when his opponent gets pissy and racks with a Delta and SLAMS balls LOUDLY into them.

Those look very nice. Can you ask your friend if they will adversely affect the LED lights i installed under the "over hang". I also tricked mine out with itty bitty wheels with chrome rims and painted "HOT ROD" on the side. If I get a chance, I'll post a pic.

Yes, please do. We're all dying to see it. :grin-square:

Where did you run across them? For the Delta rack? I wasn't aware anyone else was producing them.

Yes, no glue is a big advantage. No fuss, no muss, no mistakes.

Thanks

Thanks for the heads up. I just ordered a set of leather inserts from Delta-13 for $12 shipped. Hopefully it will deaden that awful tinging sound.
