I'm ex-Navy, been all around the world, did many-many-many things, and I know the boat you're in. When you hit a certain age, you lose that young 20s/30s "gotta-show-everyone-all-the-things-I've-done-and-how-good-I-am" immaturity, and instead revel in wisdom; in what it takes to exercise control.
