Darren Appleton - In a Wheel Chair !!!!!!

fund raising

Always great to see good deeds being done by people in our sport. Good job Darren.:)

for a fundraiser ye,

lol joey hope you didnt think it was true

The lack of smiley faces and the content of my post was to encourage people to click on the link and read the article. Glad you did.

I had the honor of doing the commentary for the wheelchair tournament at Galveston, Texas and appreciate the talent that some of these players exhibit from a wheel chair.

yes i respect them immensely, there are some great players, and good of darren to do the fundraiser,

just cos you have a handicap doesnt mean you cant play, and boy can some of them play.

Argh, I forgot about this. I heard about it many weeks ago and wanted to watch it, but it completely slipped my mind.

I hope they were able to raise a lot of money doing it.

LOL - would have been something if Darren actually got injured because of this. Do they have his "roll over"-stunt on tape? :D I'm sure Darren or Boyzi will add a few comments in this thread if they see it.

Btw, one of the nicest players in pool, Henrik Larsson from Sweden, owns two poolhalls in Stockholm together with another Swedish top-player David Larson.

Henrik is a multiple European Champion and also a World 9-ball Champion, he does a lot of trickshots-exhibitions and he has a high run of 96 in straight pool. All this from a wheelchair :)

96 from a chair is super-duper strong.
