Well you better start learning how to use a wedge and a driver!
I learned that I suck as much at golf as I do at pool so I gave that a rest too. I played golf in Atlanta with Earl, kim Davenport and Archer. They are all scratch golfers. I think I can play a little and go around in the low to mid 80's. I figured I was gonna get my chance to shine and be the best for a change. Well guess what I got another ass kicking.
I remember Archer and Strickland ganging up on me one day totally ripping me apart that I am so crappy at billiards that I could not make three balls in a row and that I should quite playing all together. Now usually around my friends I would be inclined to say 'He go get your cue and your money and lets see who can make three balls Mother F&$*#er. It was on the tip of my tongue but I started thinking about it and who I was talking to and just said "ok".
I think I can play a little pool, no really I do. However I was brought to earth as to how bad I really must be. I had a couple of beers that losened me up a little and decided to challenge Archer and make sure the odds were in my favor. I put $300 cas out and said "I want the last 4, I want the breaks and 5 on the wire race to 11" Archer couldnot get his money out of his wallet fast enough and his cue in his hand with the biggest smile I have ever seen he said "Awesome, lets go" From then on it turned into slow motion as I realized I am really that bad. I backed out and told Johnny, I'm just kidding man, relax. PHEW!. Well not sure why I am telling you all this I just like telling stories sometimes.
boy you had me laughing with this one!!! I know alot of pool players that play good golf too. I play golf also but not nearly as well as pool. I still try though. If i could get some lessons from Trusty Rusty then I might fair a little better.
I am glad I gave you a chucle on that one. I posted a few silly stories on here in the past. My fav is the yes or No game. I am sure its on here somewhere maybe under road stories or something u might enjoy those too. Anyway, thanks for the advice on golf but with all due respect NO THANK YOU!
