COOL DOG
I am sad to show the pics. A slice of the butt has been split off and all of the pieces are gone. Can it be repaired? Thanks all.

Show the pictures and we'll tell you whether it can be repaired or not. Most likely, it can be. Scott @ Proficient is very good at restoration and repair work. He just did a Palmer Wico Point repair earlier this month that another member posted pictures for. The final result looked very good and impressive!

Dont be dismay, I truly know how you felt as I have similar experience like you though it is not a cue. Showcase the pictures and I bet there are many worthy enough people here that can advice you on the next course of action.

I seen some of the cue's inperson that Scot has done after alot of damage. He does a heck of a job putting these cue's back together after some said it would never happen. You just have to see what he says for one, and he will let you know for sure. I seen the one the guy sent him that he ran over with his car by accident, and I never thought it would have came out like it did after he was done. It was in peices, I think it may be the one the above is mentioning !! Give him I call <<<ED

I sssume it's a standard butt as shown here:

It sounds like you need a new butt built, which I don't think Scot at Proficient will do.

The most economic way would be to locate the inlay shapes you need. The inlays are known as fleur-di-lis mother of pearl. The shape may not be available. I believe Paul Rubino still has the original inlay shapes. You might want to call him. Here's his web site:

He can probably build a new butt for you with the materials he stocks. I've written him recently to see what he has in stock, but have not had a response yet.

You might want to post this on the ask the cuemaker section and see who can make a new one for you using CNC.

Anything can be done for the right price. I once busted a cue (on accident of course) and after spending more then what the cue was worth it was back perfection.

Also check with Mike Webb, he might be able to help you out. I've seen him do wonders with the old Palmers. Hope this helps.

That realy sounds like me
But you are completely right, i think that realy close to anything can be repaired from the right guy.
But to spend more in repair then the cue is worth and more then already paid for it - that´s true love

Chris, every time I see that Model 16 I am stunned about how great it came out, Proficient did a great job!

I purchased all the Palmer inventory from Rubino. If you want it rebuilt I highly recommend Mike Webb since he has full access to the Palmer material for anyone wishing for a restoration using original parts.

Palmer Repair

Scot at Profiecient has done some amazing repairs and Paul Rubino would be fantastic if he has the time. I bought 2 # 16 new and still have them, they are a beautiful cue.

That's great news - thanks! Mike does a great job on all his work.

Broken Palmer Pictures

Thank You so much everyone. Here are the pics of my cue.
As you can see the butt cap is broke and there is a slice of the butt that is gone forever.

looks like you smacked it or dropped it on the floor. good news is it's just from the butt sleeve back. It is very repairable.
beautiful cue
good luck

Ditto on what blackwidows has said, definitely able to repair that! Post pictures of the results when its all done!

I recommend different cuemakers for different things.

Scot Sherbine does most of my finish and repair work - and of course he does a great job, however, in this case I would definitely recommend Michael Webb because of his access to the materials and the decal.

In this case, Michael can provide the right color pearl butt, repair the missing inlays, and can even provide the correct Palmer decal. Basically, he can both repair and restore this cue.

Email Michael at webbcues@cox.net or PM me for his phone number.
