If your cues have EVER been damaged because of the case you use, post your story here

Exactly - We need to know if ftgokie had ever made the trip before between Magoos and All American Billiards, with his cues in the back seat of his truck. Did he have damage on each of the trips or just this one trip? John Barton, on your next trip to the states, I need you to rent a simliar truck to the one that ftgokie drives. I need you to put cues in your case in the back seat along with cues in a Justis case in the back seat. Then drive the 45 minutes from Magoos to All American Billiards. Along the way, pretend that someone pulls out abruptly in front of you, causing you to slam on your brakes. Please stream this entire reanactment so we can all watch on Ustream. We need to see the before and after of each cue in each case.

I am sorry watchez, I did make a mistake...it takes me 47min to get to All american billiards from Magoos :sorry: Dammit, this is probably null and void now

Dang, I sure hate that for you sweety. I dont care if you believe me or not. You like alot of others have said are a jackass

Please stay on topic - if you wish to start a thread and discussion about which posters on AZ are jackasses, feel free to do so.

Funny how selective you are about calling people out regarding staying on topic.

I got my first custom cue, it was perfect, put it in a case I had an the cue got some deep finish scratches in it, must have been something in the case obviously, sucked because it was brand new and perfect. :frown:

Sorry for almost derailing your thread watchez...wont happen again:grin:

Never had a cue damaged because of my cases!

My cases:
Instroke 3x7
Predator (Instroke) 2x4
Talisman 3x5
Sterling 4x8 (JB interior)
Zero Halliburton 2x4
Vincitore 2x4 tubed case - Justis knockoff I won at a free raffle here on AZB
Porper 2x2 (sold it)
Justis road runner - sold it, never used it, was too scared to put a cue in it....

My first custom case caused deep severe scratches on the butt plates on couple of my custom cues. I contacted the case maker about this and he had me send the case back to him so I could see what was causing this. What he found out there was a 1/16" drill bit broken off in the bottom of my case. I he paid for the refinish of my cues with no questions asked. So he made everything right with me.

Just so you don't feel left out - STAY ON TOPIC. If you would like to start a thread about the people on AZ are funny and selective, please feel free to do so.

Never heard of any cue being damaged in a case

Never heard one story until I read one here on AZ.

I never considered cues being damaged from the interior of a cue case, until I heard the claims by JB.

I like my Talisman case. Never had a problem with it or the cues inside for the last 6 years and also the case looks almost new.

But, if I was ever given the opportunity to have a custom case made for me, with my specs, it would be a Jack Justice Case. IMO there just isn't a finer case maker alive.

Could it have been chalk that was on the lining on the inside of your case? Or maybe you had your case open and crumbs from your lunch fell into your case causing your cue to be scratched?

Along with my rubber guards for pool tables I will be coming out with a thermo molecular nuclear vacuum that will fit down in the tubes of your case. You will need to vacuum out the tubes each time you put your cue in the case to ensure that no foreign particles can be found to damage your cues. For slightly more, you can buy attachments that allow you to vacuum out a 2X4, 3X5, 3X6, 3X7 or 4X8 tube case all at the same time. This vacuum will also fit in the pouch of your case. Patent and trademark pending. Don't get any ideas John Barton on having a cheaper model built in China by some comrad left over from the Cold War that used to work on the Chinese defense systems.

Simply - all cases, when purchased, should be taken to your local hospital E/R room. Have them X rayed for any foreign objects that might be found inside them, undetected by the maker or yourself. We are all humans but need to ensure that we protect against these type of mistakes. I believe that John Barton is going to enlist this X Ray verification guarantee with a signed letter of authenticity from a Chinese doctor on his future cases as well. It will cost too much for me to sell each case owner their own personal X Ray machine and Chinese doctor so I will not be patenting or trademarking this device.

Talisman is scheduled for the Barton Ustream in February. Stay tuned for the shocking news that John will reveal then.

Sorry, I made a mistake..it was a 3x6 Pro Lite...not a 3x7

Two errors in your story -

47 minutes not 45

3X6 not a 3X7

Eric was right - your credibility is in question. Stick to what you know best - the Vets.

So you trusted the Justis knockoff but not the Justis - interesting. Can you tell us what your thoughts are on cheap, lead based Chinese toys for American kids?

yes I did. I had a 3x6 pro lite. I put the case on the back seat of my truck when I left Magoos in Tulsa, when I got to All American Billiards in Muskogee 45min later there was achip in my clearcoat. Im not rough with my stuff and take care of my cues..So I know I didnt bump my cue on anything before it was put in my case.. When I first got the case I woudl always hear the the rattling inside the case and it always made me cringe...I guess I shoulda just not used it when I first heard that sound

I will have to find my original post on what happened and post it on here simply because I dont have the time to put it all down here right now since I have like 14 Vets waiting to see me and I am typing this in between seeing them.

DAMMIT....:eek:I just noticed another mistake.....there is 18, not 14 Vets outside my office, I just did a quick glance and did not count the exact number....so with there being so many mistakes in my original posting...I wish to withdraw from this thread

since it seems you have some extra time on your hands, why don't you make the trip, document it for us, and show us your findings since it doesn't matter what jb does, you wouldn't believe him anyway.

If he comes to Gabe's 1 pocket tourney he is having at Magoos, he can document it then...and I will either film, or live stream it as he does...My only request is he has to sing like I do while I am driving down the road....and yes, I am a very good singer when I am alone!

What type of case do you prefer? Wait - no need to answer the question.
