good cuemakers usually charge 75-100+ for a refinish, and thats where it starts, for a buttcap could be 30-75 depending on what material, I'd say you could find a good reputable guy to do the work for $100-150. anything that sounds to good to be true usually is, good finish work is as hard as anything else on a cue...some guys never get it right after years of trying.

Get ahold of Ryan Theewen - ratcues on AZ. You will be happy with everything. He's well know for doing high quality work, at very reasonable prices, and with good lead times. You often hear other cue makers that are amazed at what Ryan is willing to do work for - given the quality he's known for.

Easy Ghost. With the range of prices you put out there, Ray Charles could have hit that mark blindfolded.
As a friendly FYI, it's not always a good idea to quote prices unless you're the one offering to do the work. It can have the effect of trapping a CM, freeze others out, open old wounds, all kinds of bad voodoo.
Fortunately your ranges were so wide that I could see CM's fingers getting itchy all over the planet.

no i feel ya, I just have seen quite a few quality makers offer prices around that and was just trying to help out. But I completely understand where your coming from.
the whole price is right was a joke, and I left the $$$ wide open for the same reason you mentioned, you might get it on the lower end from one fella and just a little more from another. Definately don't ever want to step on any toes, if I offended anyone i apologize.

Sounds like you are frustrated with constant turn downs on your cue making/fixing abilities. Also if i got problems with your answer i'll come talk to you myself....comprende??
