Enco lathe wireing help

To add to what others have said...

If you just purchased this lathe new from Enco, and either you ordered the wrong motor, or they shipped you the wrong motor (3 phase versus 1 phase), you should call their tech support and see if you can swap the motors so that you do have the single phase motor.

Its also obvious you don't know what you have (no offense). So you need to take a picture of the motor wiring and its plate if you expect anyone here to be able to help, as has been suggested.

Normal electricians might never deal with wiring motors. But your industrial electrician if he ever does factory work should know how to wire this up.

Finally got the lathe wired up correctly. The 1st issue was the 220 wiring diagram and the block diagram didnt match. The second problem was a bad contactor in the control panel, only one side was working properly.
The tech guy at Enco told the industrial maintenance electrician not
to pay attention to the manuals block diagram and use the schematic for the 110v/220v motor. Now the lathe works fine except for no reverse. The new contactor is suppose to fix that problem. However, i didnt know an ac motor could be reversed. Anyway Enco shipped a new contactor yesterday, hopefully that will get reverse working. Thanks for all the response. Its great knowing there is help here on AZ. Its greatly appreciated by myself and all other apprentice cue makers.
Now on to the next problem, A rear chuck.....

Glad u got it fixed...well, sort of. Try Chris Hightower for a rear chuck. No machining required.
