Hello, everyone im looking for a predator pre cat shaft. The shaft that just says 314 on it.

I'm going to try this from a different angle just so we can get some much needed clarification here, OK?

Now, please tell me, what is the difference btwn pre-cat and cat decal-ed shafts?
After we've gotten a few responses, I'll come back and tell you why I asked.

In summary, there is NO difference btwn "Cat" & "pre-Cat" shafts other than the decal. At some point, Predator determined that for the sake of more visual advertising, they would add the 'cat' to the decal. Nothing else about the shaft changed.
There are differences btwn Gen1 & Gen2 shafts but there is no diff. btwn cat & pre-cat.

Hope this helps.

You are 100% correct not one bit of differance:)

That era was sure the best playing of them. Ferrules were prone to discoloration a lot, though - if you were predisposed to allowing it (mine still look good)...
KJ - was a radial pin joint even available on them back then?

From the factory, I don't believe it was. But that's not to say that a CM couldn't have built from partial, just about anything the client wanted.
Actually, I was thinking the same thing when I first read the OP's post.
There may be one or two out there but I'm certain they will be rare.
I've offered to build a Gen1 for the OP from my stash of Gen1 partials.
I'll put any decal he wants on it as long as he doesn't want a Gen2 decal on a Gen1 shaft.

This is his best bet to get KJ to build him a shaft. I remember the 314-2 Predator shaft KJ built for the Southwest cue I had. He did a excellent job on that shaft and matched the ring up as well. It may cost a few extra bucks to do it this way but you will be very happy with your brand new shaft.
