Mitch Ellerman Ripped Off at Galveston Tournament

Finally - some people are starting to understand.

Ashley did not run the raffle. The Galveston Promoters ran the raffle. You can conclude, even though Bobby Rone states otherwise, that he ran the raffle since the furniture wound up in his house after the tournament.

How can you make this assumption with 100% confidence? I won't make that leap of faith based on what I've read.

I and others have been asking "who ran the raffle" for over 300 posts.

There's been a problem with the rafflle and a very key piece of the puzzle remains undisclosed. Usually we're better at getting to the bottom of things than in this case. We're slipping guys!

Who sent Boradriver his money for his buyout on his raffle? So was this person involved in one of the raffles but not the other?

And if I was a promoter of an event and someone accused me of doing wrong and it was not me - I would let the world know who it actually was. Bobby R. came on here and ignored that question, along with several others.

Who was it that pulled the winning ticket? I believe they had videos of this momentous moment. Maybe the person that pulled the winning ticket can let us know who directed her to do so, thus telling us who ran the raffle.

So what do you put your "Vegas line" at that Taylor Road conducted the raffle and didn't farm any of it out and is therefore 100% responsible for the raffle and award?

Hadn't we already covered this ground? Or am I missing something?

I just spoke to Mitch and the issue is not resolved yet, but he said that it's "Slowly going to get there".

He also wanted to let people know that Ashley Furniture is NOT RESPONSIBLE in ANYWAY!

These products where not donated. Ashley furniture held the raffle at the event. Not the same thing. Ray

I wish I could find that video of pulling the winning ticket of the raffle. Unfortunately the insidpoolmag website is impossible to navigate thru.

One thing is for certain, if I was a rep for Ashley furniture and anyone from the world of billiards ever came to me asking for sponsorship to help the sport of pool again I would tell them to go suck a dick.

They donate some furniture to a sport that is hard pressed to get any sponsorship at the bequest of the promoters, and their donation of $8,000 of furniture that they themselves likely never saw again gets them raked over the coals because of the tournament promoters of a bloody pool tournament.

This is awesome for the sport, keep it up champs, don't quit until that last shovel full of dirt covers the corpse of this sport for good.

Meh....it has been killed and buried many times already......Problem is....a rain comes along and re-sprouts a new soon to be corpse....Perhaps some cement needs to be put over that last shovel of dirt.....

Thanks triley - I'll have to watch it again when I get home. Maybe I saw it wrong the first time, who knows.

Coco - since you watched it....who is 'they'?

Cris De La Garza and a gal named Mindy (with whom I am not familiar) picked the winners and announced them

Actually, that video link was already offered way back in post #30 of Page 1 of this thread.

You don't have to worry about triley's warning about the lack of audio in the first two-and-a-half minutes or so of the video -- the "#t=150" suffix at the end of the URL that I'd posted already jumps you ahead to where the audio begins, which is also the point at which Mitch's raffle ticket is pulled.

Ok, so does Cris or Mindy work for Ashley (since one person reported that Ashley and not the Galveston crew ran the gaffle)?

Cris works for Inside Pool Magazine, so it's very unlikely she was representing Ashley. Maybe someone here knows Mindy - I'd think so - like Cris, she's hard to miss. ;)

The man running the booth and selling tickets is the one that I understood to work for Ashley.

Anyone can do the drawing.

Bottom line:

1. If I bought tickets for a furniture raffle, I would inquire about shipping and I only live a few hours away.

2. If I won, I would find out what I need to do immediately.

3. I would sell the furniture to the highest offer right away.

4. I haven't heard or seen Mitch anywhere on here saying anything.

5. New Years Resolution.......Fahgetaboutit, it's history.

Happy New Years everyone!

Thanks Sean - for posting this twice. I had forgotten it was in this thread.

We have now also confirmed that Cris DLG does not work for Ashley.

Do you know Mindy? Does she work for Ashley? Surely, if Ashley was running the gaffle then they would have completed the process and pulled the winner.

So Ashley ran the gaffle and then kept all the money from the gaffle?
That is good to hear.

Bottom Line-

There is always a right and a wrong and it is always clear to see the difference between the two.
