Olympia Open III got started last night despite the horrible driving conditions into Ocononomoc, WI. 3 hour drives turned into 5 hour drives, etc.

The lower division 9 ball kicked off at 6:00 PM with 84 players. The upper division 9 ball got going with 44 players after the calcutta ($3000+).

Some upcoming matches...

Jamie Baraks vs Chad Vilmont
James Eberhart vs Lupe Rosas
Henry Brodt vs Marlin Angeles
Jesse Bowman vs Chris Patterson
Gary Lutman vs Jason Hoeffner

Losers side...
Jeff Beckley
Tom D'alfonso

Will post some updates later this afternoon.

We've got 185+ for the 3 divisions of 8 ball that starts later today with more expected. Women's division starts tomorrow.

Did Jamie and Chad draw each other or are they a couple matches in already? I'm assuming they rode together so if they drew each other that's just bad luck. lol.

Someone up there needs to get on this Online Streaming Train already! How is the rest of the world suppose to see these great players?

:)

I guess I'll just have to bring my equipment next time I'm up there.

I remember it being about 20 Below and show everywhere for the WIBCA Last January. I imagine the parking lot is a huge mess at that hotel. Hopefully everyone arrived alright and were not forfeited or anything.

Keep us updated please!

Since they started last night and he did list loser side players I'm thinking they played two rounds on the winners last night. Should be 16 left on the winners side. Apparently the other 3 matches aren't as exciting

Great start though for a weekday and several inches of snow

Btw, Jamie is from QC and Chad is from Clinton. Obviously friends but don't think they travel together.

Yeah, I wasn't paying enough attention to notice the loser's side players. lol.

I know that they have traveled together in the past so I just figured they may have again.

Can you make sure to spread the word about the Alpena all A team event in February to those guys in case they arent aware? 1 AA or pro per team all the rest are A players or less. We are adding 2k wth 16 teams and the payout for first will be over 5k if we get a full field!

"A" Division up next with 86 players.

Upper Division has 63 players with the calcutta going on now.

Vilmont wins. D'Alfonso takes 3rd.

Not sure when the Vilmont vs Eberhart 9 ball finals will be as they just started the upper division 8 ball.

yeah this would be cool if they could stream the event if the music city event is going to be streamed then they can surely find a way to stream this
