1 Pocket Ghost

Never sold anything in my 7 years as a forum member here, so I'm not sure of the proper protocol, but I hope it's ok to put this thread up in the main forum, for a minute...

A few forum members know, but not most, that I have a small business with my girlfriend, designing and printing graphic t-shirts…that said…

For the last couple of years I’ve been planning on designing and producing a One Pocket t-shirt - because there‘s a million pool t-shirts out there, but no t-shirt for us One Pocket players…for two years now Steve Booth of one pocket.org has been asking me when the hell am I going to finally come up with the shirt…well, I finally stopped procrastinating and made the shirt…..about the shirt’s design…

Because I think that One Pocket is the greatest game in the world, and because I so respect the skill and dedication that is required to study, learn, and play this game, I wanted the design of the t-shirt to be serious and structural, just like the game of One Pocket… no macho/lame graphics like a lot of the t-shirts out there, with flaming neon pool balls, or cartoon sharks holding bud light pool cues, etc…....the back of the shirt does however, have a little One Pocket boasting as to it’s exalted standing, when compared to the other pool games (I'm sure I'll get some flaming from the 9ball, 3cush. and 14.1 players for my bias :))…check out the pics…

As for the shirt itself, it is black with white graphics….it is an American Apparel t-shirt, which is a high-end shirt - super soft, and costing at wholesale, twice as much as the Hanes, Gildan, or Fruit of the Loom type of tees that most pool t-shirts are printed on….I wasn’t going to dog it - gotta have the highest quality t-shirt for the highest quality game…:)

The price of the shirt is $20 plus $5 for shipping/Paypal fee - anybody who will be coming to the DCC can forego the shipping cost, as I will bring your shirt to you at the DCC….the available sizes are: Medium - Large - XL - 2XL - 3XL…pm me with any questions.

PS, With one of these t-shirts, you can REPRESENT for One Pocket....:)

Ghost,
I'll send you a check, and pick it up at DCC.

When the hell will you man-up and make a straight pool shirt for those of us discriminating enough to prefer the game of champions?????

P.S. - I have actually broken down and had some instruction at one-pocket from Danny D.; he says it is possible I may eventually learn to play (he's not so sure about my straight pool future).

Never happen, Don....however, you can hire me to design and produce a 14.1 shirt for you....

I have one of the first run of these shirts. Cool, minimalist design on the front (reflecting Ghost's creative talents) and in-your-face hyperbole on the back (reflecting the rest of Ghost's personality).

The shirt itself is very high quality, better than you expect from a printed T. Of course, everybody can't make it look as good as the model in the picture does (let's be honest), but everybody will look (and feel) good in it.

And I can attest that it raises your 1P game by at least a ball.

Pat....Thanks much for the props and for your appreciation of the shirt...

But, as for your saying that the proclamation on the back is "hyperbole"....nah, it's just the stone-cold-simple-truth....:)....

Pat.......I don't want any special treatment because we are friends...that said, did you subject my shirt to the rigorous tests, scrutiny and protocols of the other pool related products that you've posted about...

You know, like resiliency of the shirt, thread count, color-dye density, sizing ratio, etc......

I'm sure that you did, but I just wanted to confirm this....

I will take one, size L.

Just give it to Roy Steffensen at DCC, he can transport it back to Norway..

Hopefully he will pay for the shirt also.

PJ,

AWESOME NEWS!!!!! The Ghost will be covering any one-pocket losses that I suffer at this years DCC while wearing the shirt (he receives marketing advice from Kevin Trudeau - they're neighbors).....errr, at least that's the way I'm reading this...in Indiana I'm thinking this is sort of an implied contract.....oh hell, there's no way I'm ever going to lose.....please disregard this post (well, unless I need busfare back to Indy: I'm sure Ghost will cover it).

Since you ask, the shirt is combed cotton (made in the US by American Apparel) in a fine, soft, dense weave that you can tell right away is high quality. The printing is beautifully sharp and high contrast, yet soft and flexible, like it's dyed rather than printed. All of this has remained unchanged (and unshrunk) through several washings with my blue jeans. I wear it to the pool hall more than any other shirt.

DISCLAIMER: Despite adding significant value by my totally unsolicited endorsement I have not yet been paid anything by the seller of these t-shirts.

Bruce,
Is that you? How have you been? Great shirt, great design. I'll take one,
2XL and when I know it will fit me, I'll get another. I'll pay via PayPal.
Later,
LannyCharles@comcast.net

Hiya Lanny......Yeah, it's me...long time no see, how are you man? - we miss you up north here, have you picked up a southern accent yet?, lol...how's your One Pocket game? - can I still beat you?, lol...

Anyway, thanks Lanny, I'm glad you like the shirt.

Do the shirts run wide or long? Is the 3XL super wide or longer than say the 2XL. I need something long enough for me.

when i learn to play 1 pocket i'll buy one

The Ghost has all these situations covered. See, for the people that don't KNOW how to play onepocket, just wearing the shirt makes everyone steer clear of you, because they THINK you know how to play onepocket.

For those few brave souls that insist on still messing with you, you just say

"Look, let's cut thru all the bullsh1t, I don't know your game and you don't know mine, so hows about you step up to the table and play me some, you got 9-7 and the breaks for $500 a game.

Now that should get rid of most all of them, unless you had the misfortune to running into a champion. Then you just pull out your phone like it was vibrating, and say "excuse me, I got to get this" and come back and tell him your girlfriend is in labor, you'll have to catch him later.

Hi Ghost,

I just sent $20 your way via Paypal (eztravel) for a shirt. Please bring an XL for me to DCC and I'll pick it up from you there...

Good to hear from you to Bruce.
Are yall frozen in Chicago? Cold here too! I've see 3 inches of snow since moving to Memphis 6 years ago. Sure you can still beat me:):), stop by Memphis HighPockets, they'll call me; we'll also grab a bite. I'm going to send you a description of an awesome one pocket tournament format that Memphis Bill developed. I've been wanting to share it with someone in Chicago, but did not know who, now I know-you. I'll hopefully get it to you this weekend.
