Looks like Padauk to me.

The more I think about it I think your right, I also think it is Padauk.

the orange on mine is padauk
the dark, i think is some type of walnut, judging by the smell
that's a conversion of a one pc i did about 4 years ago, kept for myself
i'm converting it again :wink:
not sure what to call a conversion of a conversion , LOL

I think your right that orange is Padauk, but the dark wood on mine I don't think is Walnut. When I was sanding it I breathed a little of the dust in, and it burned my nose almost like some Rosewoods or Cocobolo.

I kinda wish I could keep this cue for myself, but it was built for a good freind, and he loves the cue, well I will just have to build another one.
