Not at all...most all the high performance tips are laminated...Tiger, Kamui, Moori, etc. As with all laminated tips its best to use new sharp blades for best results & less stress to the leather.
 
I just installed one of these today. By the looks of them they are made of some kind of impregnated leather. I called Samsara, to ask what glue they recommended. They said either a good super glue or an epoxie. I used the latter...JER

Jerry the newer white quicker setting Gorilla glue works excellent as well.:wink:
