We all know that Efren won his 5th all-around crown, he is definitely the king of all time. Congrats to him and all the players that are over the hill .

What you may not know is that our own Coloradan, Melissa Little, won the women's all-around crown. It has not been advertised so I thought I would shout it to the AZB world.

MELISSA LITTLE WON THE 2010 DCC ALL-AROUND!

Unfortunately there were not many woman participants this year (3) but they did include Jeanette Lee. That should not diminish Melissa's accomplishment. She got to the 4th round in banks and 9-ball, but one pocket was not so kind, she played Efren and Todd Marsh her 1st two matches (many great player could lose these two matches). This was more than enough to win the all-around and pocket $1500.

Meliss, we are very proud of you - Congratulations!

Congratulations Melissa! Sounds like you played very well!

About Efren...Too bad he's all "washed up":rolleyes: It just amazes me how people will just assume that because a pro hasn't won everything in sight (although he/she may have in the past), that they can no longer play. People have been saying this about Efren and Earl (among others) for years. I still say that once you've achieved that "elite" level of skill, you NEVER lose it. Efren is proof positive of this!

Way to go Melissa. Congrats on the all around win.
Thanks Dave for posting this.

You're welcome. Once I learned the news, it had to be shared. We are very proud of Melissa around here. Not only for her play but for her work with juniors and all she does for pool.

Very impressive. I can't imagine what it would be like to get past all those hurdles, to keep your head and game straight for that long.

I get it, and you made me laugh. But the fact of the matter is Melissa went to DCC with the goal of winning the all-around and she did. She had no idea how many women would show. So it was a very low turnout, that should not diminish the fact that she won it. Someone had to. We're still proud of her.

I'm not going to post any more on this, I just wanted to announce it since I didn't see anything about it.

Dave...I'll bump it up. Melissa played great, no matter how many women were there, and deserves all the accolades she gets! Way to go Melissa! No go kick butt in another WPBA event! Best wishes for a successful year!

Melissa Little

Melissa has been playing great and it doesn't surprise me that she won the all around at DCC.

She is definitely playing in a lot of tough local competition and does quite well.

Congratulations Melissa

JLee didnt buyback in bankpool and didnt play in 1pocket or 9ball i believe so not sure if its fair to count her in the womens field.
