just wanted to say that i just completed my first deal on az as a buyer and the seller marcus aka fast and loose made it a wonderful experience. Sounds like i'm glad it was him as to what i'm seeing with this deal going on with mikeyfish if i had dealt with him the first time around i might nOT be shopping or selling on az. So for all the straight up folks keep up the good trading practices.......jeff

There has to be more to the story
In his first post he was not sure what the fair price was and was rather clear about that. Why didn't some Tascarella experts offer some opinions as to what the cue should sell for? I am not directing this at you Marcus. You are well respected and I understand were you are coming from... a deal is a deal

I have no dog in this fight, but if you were looking to get this cue for less then $1800 (for a brand new Tascarella with one shaft) ... you might have been "stealing"

But I am willing to pay for this type of Tascarella ASAP for $1800. I will buy 2and can wire the money. That is how strong I feel that this cue was worth at least $1800.

i told marcus if we did the deal i wanted cash and i wouldnt be able to send the cue to him till next week if we did the deal and i would get in touch with him after friday at four and i also had two offers one was the same as his he knew this if i accepted his offer then why didnt i tell him to pay me he insisted on trading me an alex brick,or a steve klein for a tascarella i think i made it clear i didnt wanna do paypal and you insisted i said i wanted cash three times and your answer was you dont have time to get a bank check or money order lets put all the facts out there if you really wanna i cleary stated i dont wanna use paypal in 4 pms you also told me you would pay 1800 if the cue had the same collar for the extra predator shafts you already had im not looking to argue or cause any problems i know you have a great reputation and we have done deals before i have never done any bad deals on az ever im sure there are a few people who can tell you they have given me cues with out even money on my work and got paid the exact day i said i would
In a sad mood I'm watching a dispute b/w two az members which have been very helpfull to me and others, both having flawless reputation.
I'm sure this is just a misunderstanding and hopefully it will not affect their future relationship here.

It is unfortunate to see this thread.
I have personally done several transactions with both Marcus and Mike without any issue. Both have done exactly what they said they would do, and I would never hesitate to deal with either of them.
I don't know what went north (being a good southern boy, I could never say that a deal that went bad went "south") in this one, but I hope it all works out for the best.

thanks for the comments guys and marcus i would like to say sorry about the whole situation like i said i know you are a great seller and we have done a couple of trades and i have bought a couple of cues from you and we have never had a problem before i hope this can be forgotten about and just laid to rest ill be honest i know alot of guys on az are on here to buy and sell cues as a living but i just like buying cues and trying them out im not on here to make a living i have bought cues and didnt like them and sell them for less or the same as what i paid i really didnt know what to ask for this cue as the fact i got it from a friend who wouldnt tell me what he paid so i really didnt know what to ask thats the only reason i ever even started the post with make me an offer next time i will set a price once its met the cue will be sold once again i would like to apologize to marcus
I was there when this cue was delivered brand new and I know exactly how much the cue was sold for directly from Pete's hand. However, it is not my place to come on here and let people know what Pete charged. Mike is trying to sell a cue and if he asks for bids then that's the way he choose to sell the cue. It could work for him or against him. I promise it worked for him because he was unsure how much he could get for the cue and he got more than he thought. Nobody should come on here and tell him what it is worth in my opinion. If somebody is lucky enough to get a good deal than good for them.
imo, it's not anyone else's job to set a sellers asking price.
I made an offer that ithought was fair, we made a deal, all was good. Until i found out a few hours later that my offer now wasn't good enough.
As far as pricing on this cue...... As long as the buyer was happy with the price, that's good. To be honest, that's how all cue sales are, imo.
