Could it be a Bushka

One thing that gets me in the photos of the cue on ebay is the dullness of the acrylic rings and their width. The red acrylic George used is a more vibrant color red, even in an unfinished state. The one on ebay looks more Verl Hornish (though it could be the pics). But all we have to go on is pics. I certainly would not buy one based on pics alone, and would ask an expert.

Honestly there are counterfeits floating around. Plus sometime experts disagree.

Like on the cue below.

Well you're showing some great examples. I believe the cue is also a Horn or other maker...

Here is what I found from my archives. Notice the date this cue was for sale on ebay. From a different seller. This is the very same cue. 7 years ago. Also is a Verl Horn copy. The pearl dots don't line up the same as the original cue. This cue is also in the Blue Book 3rd addition on page 51.

Cue detectives

You guys are good. I'm no cue expert at all, and the older Bushka/Szams have been duplicated so much that it requires this type of expertise. Thank you all.

See you guys at the SBE.

Cue I.D.

Jerry Rauenzahn thinks the rear of the was built by him on a cue David ordered in the past.David sold the cue years ago.. Someone has removed the buttplate and put it on a titlist blank.
Thats the facts.
Nick :)

i have had several of the balabushkas and horns made like this, either way the cue is worth over $1000 but i never saw the acryllic with a titleist forearm.different times for george and the ones i got from verl had regular points, spain or some such

either way ,it is a nice cue.mike cochran passed away finishing one a lot like it for me.
these are really nice cues

There is a member here named Dan White. He is a guy from NJ. He is as nice guy as they come. He has the best looking titlist Bushka I have ever seen. It's an absolute monster. It's got the three band acrylic with MOP and the points have 4 or 5 MOP inlays. When I say it's the nuts in titlist Bushka's, thats no joke. I wish he would post some pics, it's an amazing piece.

What i am saying is the cue on ebay is the very same cue that was for sale alomost 7 years ago. The seller ended the auction early. Notice it is a different seller in a different location. My opinion is it is not a bushka. Thats why it was pulled 7 years ago. If it were and this is the new owner he would be aware if it was a bushka. Anyway i had some pictures of it back then. Thought i would post so someone could let the az community know if it was indeed a bushka.

Like I said

The rear is off a old Rauenzahn. The pin is almost twice as long as it should be. The shafts are put together wrong.
The cue is a joke. I can tell you to the 32nd of an inch what the pin height should be and it aint even close.

Nick :)

If I wanted to be an ass... I'd micro bid it up so that whoever wins would be stuck.. lol I wonder if the Saint oF Ebay has e-mailed him on what it is... :p
