Well, I recently had the pleasure of meeting up with Easy E again. He happened to be driving through Alabama, so I trekked the couple hours up to Birmingham to get together and have a little fun. For those of you who don't know Eric, he can be a bit of a handful. To give you an example, we hooked up at the hotel, and within 30 minutes, the hotel bar was out of beer. Not one particular kind, mind you. ALL BEER. Maybe that wasn't due entirely to us, but we damn sure had a hand in it. Well, after imbibing some beer (and a little wine after the beer dried up, lol), what are two wannabe players gonna do but go hit the local rooms and try to stir up some action? Well, after getting to a pool room (the room name will be unnamed to protect the innocent), we proceeded to bang some balls around. Long story short, after about 4 hours of playing/drinking, the only action we can find is playing straight pool high runs with each other for shots. Since I am not going to knock anybody, let's just say Eric put together some AMAZING runs. For any of you that were lucky enough to have seen Eric play T-rex one hole on TAR (I think during the Stevie-Bartram match), that was about what he played like. If Eric wishes to expound upon his shooting here, he is more than welcome. Well, after almost getting punched after asking a guy if there was another pool room where people gambled (he and his friend had said that they wanted to play some partners until we said yes, and then for some reason they got cold feet), we decided to call it a night. After the obligatory late night food stop, we argued for a while about whether or not the local escort service might have little people available, and if they would be half price or not. Too tired to fully investigate, we finally made our way back to the still beer-less hotel. Well, Eric is now in Alexandria, LA, and I am sure probably meeting up with another AZ'er to play some and have general merriment. Anyone around those parts would be wise to look him up. Just watch out for those straight pool high runs for liquor. They can get expensive. For him.
