Hi I'm new to this site and just wanted to intoduce myself. Moderators feel free to move this if I failed to post this in the right section and accept my appology. I played in high school and just after when I lived at home and we had a pool table. I got busy with life, got married, got a mortgage and got bored. A buddy of mine at work offered to have a drink with me and shoot a game of pool. I agreed but told him I hadn't played in about 10 yrs. That was 6 months ago and I've barely put down my stick since. I'm addicted...seriously and I love it. I'm so pissed at myself for missing out on 10 years of practice, but better late than never right?:) Anyways, I was referred to this website after reading Kid Delicious' book "Running the table." For the very few of you who don't know, this book is an absolute must read! I'm hoping to talk to and get advise from people on here who are just as passionate about this sport as I am and maybe eventually meet up with a few of you in the Chicago area and rack a few. See ya around.

Hi, welcome to AZ. Glad you got back in the game. I put my stick down from 18 years old til I was 50. It doesn't take very long to get back to where you were and to improve. This is a great place to ask question and get advice. Glad you joined us buddy.

anyone play cheap one hole in joliet?

Years ago, guys used to play a little one pocket at Corner Pocket. I'd say your best bet now is to head to The Loft on Cass St/Rte 30.

I haven't played it in years, especially since I've just returned to pool 3 months ago after a 12 year break, but I'd be game to bang some balls around for a few bucks. PM me.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Always good to see fellow chicagoland players on here. Money is more than a little tight right now so I'm gonna steer clear of the one pocket with you guys. I get around with league so maybe I'll bump into one of you. Ya never know.
