I am ready to sell my cue monster. I purchased the machine new from Unique in late 2005. The machine will include a e-machine pc tower only with Desk NC and bobcad Ver.17 loaded on the machine and the factory IBM thinkpad laptop, Quiet Router with 1/4 and 1/8 collets, custom live center (that I built for the machine), Blower setup that hooks up to a compressor or to a fish tank air pump, and vacum attachment for shop vac that I also made. The machine is very clean and in great shape. I can deliver to SBE or I can crate up the machine and buyer pays for cost of creat and acutal shipping cost..The only reason I am selling it is because I am interested in building a new machine of my own design As soon as I can get out to the shop today I will get and post pics of everything. New this machine would cost over $9000 not to mention all the extras so I am going to price this machine to move for $6500 delivered to the SBE or I can crate up the machine and buyer pays for cost of creat and acutal shipping cost..

Go to New Lexington and take the Zian road exit, go it . . .
Mr H

dont do it  trust me
first time i went to joes, i mapquested it
my directions said turn left on zion road
i did
ended up in a cornfield, literally
went back to main road, go another few miles,
and there's ANOTHER zion road
so i turn again, this time, when the road turned to gravel, i called joe for help
he said, "where the f*** is zion road? never heard of it"
hell, i was 15 miles away from him  THANKS MAPQUEST :p
he finally got me headed in the right direction and when i showed him the mapquest directions he cracked up
just some crazy glitch mistake by mapquest

Maybe it's just me, but Ohio seems to have an abundance of cue makers. Don't you Buckeyes have anything better to do? :)

Bumpity bump for a good price on a good machine.
Mr H

of course we have nothing else better to do we live in ohio lol and in about a 4 hour strect you could visit about 4-5 cue makers and one novice.(thats me)

lol i like that organized chaos, nice. my place didnt have a chance its to smal to be called a shop more of a cue building closet.

the mysterious triangle

Hi Joe, is that what happened to "old Lexington" ? It dissappeared in the Triangle?
Seriously though, if anyone is considering a cnc, that one Joe has is awesome! He is an honest man. I bought his taper shaper over a year ago and have no regrets. At that time I saw the Cue Monster. It is in excellent condition. ANd it is a real plus to have it running on a full size desktop instead of the laptop that Unique supplies. I have a "Monster" and do not like the little laptop at all.
Anyone looking to custom taper a shaft should consider the CueMonster as well. A custom program can be written and the shaft tapered before you even set up a Taper Bar , let alone cut it then return the taper bar back to your preferred settings.
I use the Taper Shaper for all cuts until the final taper, then the Monster does the final passes. Life is good!

With the advent of CNC and as cheaply as it has become a person would be absolutely foolish in investing any money in a stand alone shaft tapering machine that is not CNC. They can be had for nearly the same price and you could then have 10,000 different tapers instead of being locked into only one with out major time and testing procedures. I've got two saw type shaft machines that do a splendid job of tapering but to difficult to change tapers, will be scrapped as soon as I get my CNC 4 shaft saw machine completed. Only way to go.

I feel the same way about pantomills for inlays. What a waste of money. You are constantly buying more designs or your cues become stagnant always using the same ones over. CNC and your designs become absolutely limitless.

A clean desk is the sign of a sick mind and that goes double for shops. I would rather call my shop not messy but organised chaos.
