Ok. A little rundown. Dawg was kinda giving me a hard time about always running onto good deals with my buddy that owns a pawn shop here locally. I made him a promise that the next time I came onto a good deal on a cue for under 100.00, I would buy it, and give it to him.

Well, I didnt think it would happen so fast, but after I made the promise to him, my friend called and told me to come to his house to pick something up.

This is what I paid 45.00 for, and yes, Dawg, its yours! Send me your mailing addy and I will ship it out monday.

I gave you my word and now, my gain, is....well, your BIG Gain. I have no idea how much its worth, I havnt even looked, but whatever it is, your coming out ahead.......Hope you enjoy it!

Dawg, you around? I need your mailing addy so I can send you this cue.

Well, really I run onto deals often. I have alot of people always on the lookout for things, if they think I may be interested and its a good buy, they contact me.

My dad is always out driving around, looking through local classified ads, browsing through pawn shops. If he sees a deal on anything I may be interested in, he will call me and either I will tell him to buy it or I will go look at it. He for instance buys cars and trucks that are a good buy, and he will clean them up and resale them. He has always made very good money since he retired buy doing that, and I guess that is how I got to be doing what I do.

There is always people that are hurting for money, and alot of people know that I always have cash on me and they come to me and if I like what I see, I will buy it....word gets around cause its a small town, and everyone knows me. No, im not bragging at all, its just I am usually in the position to be able to help someone out who is hurting for money. If it is something of sentimental value to the person, I will keep it and when they get the money, I will usually sell it back for less than what I gave them...thats just how I work. If someone is selling something cheap because they need money, I wont ever try to talk them down to get a better deal, hell, im already gettting a great deal anyways...like the deal with my 2 Joss West and the Richard Black I got.

Anyways...I gave him my word on the next cue deal I got...and this is it, so whatever this cue is worth, its Dawgs

wow man. really, I dont know what to say. I was just clowin you when I busted ur balls about getting rediculous deals on cues... I really didnt expect this, seriously.

Im watching my son right now (2yrs old) and he id a whirlling tornado so I barely have time to post this reply... I will get back obn shortly to replly.

Well, I told you what I would do, and although it happened WAYYYYYYYY much sooner than I thought, I said I would give you the cue and I will. I am sure its worth more money that I paid for it, 45.00.

imo, the world needs more people to mean what they say. kudos to you :smile:

and on that note... i'd be willing to give you a $20 finders fee on any nice looking good playing condition cue that you should find under or around $100

i guess it really does pay off to look around in classifieds and pawn shops.
who knows... maybe on the weekends i may start checking out different
pawn shops in my area to see what kind of pool cue treasures I might find! :grin-square:

Dont fall for it. lol. you should see my gas bills & time invested list after reading this guys posts. If I would have known all I had to do was bust his balls about being the indiana jones of cue hunters... and Id end up gettin "a taste" I would have spent less time chasin dreams around at flea markets & yard sales and just started following him around.

Nope...I made a deal....Here in AZ, your only as good as your word......If I dont follow through, you can cut my hair with some garden shears

Sorry Dawg....Things have been hectic at work, I was going in early and getting off late and didnt get the cue shipped last week, I did however send it out today. So you should recieve it by the end of the week. Let me know if it arrives ok and I also send you a PM with tracking info
