European 8-ball Championship Women

Konstantin Stepanov 7-6 over Marcus Chamat, race to 8.

Henrik Larsson 3-4 Kurt Deklerck, race to 5.

Jasmin Ouschan 6-5 Line Kjorsvik, race to 6.

Another break and run from Jasmin, the 4th in this race to 6 match, and the last one came when she needed it the most.

6-5 and Jasmin is still undefeated in the European Championships 2010, winning gold in 14-1, 10-ball and 8-ball so far, and she has already won her first 2 matches in 9-ball!

9-ball final will be on Saturday! Will Line, Gerda or some other European girls be able to stop her from doing what no one else have done before, winning all 4 divisions???

Congratulations to Jasmin.

IMPRESSIVE!!!!

Thank you Roy. A lot of people don't know that Line is very close to Jasmin's speed...and getting better IMO. Congrats to Jasmin. Johnnyt

A couple years back when Line was getting back on the tour, she stopped in Phoenix Az. to play in a qualifier. I'm sure all the local girls know how well she can play. ;) Line won that tournament pretty easily if I remember right.

I agree that Line can beat Jasmin on any given day. She will always be the underdog, though.

In the semifinal Line demolished Gerda Hofstatter 6-0, you have to be a good player to do that :)

yeah, that's impressive with alternate break especially.

Jasmin has set a record for women division, it's the first time ever a female player wins three events at one EPC. And 9-Ball is still on, so Jasmin is on a mission...

Wow, shutting out Gerda in 8 ball is strong!

Thanks for the updates, Roy.

Line was impressive in that 8 ball match - if she shoots like this in the nxt WPBA event
I think we will see her once again on ESPN.

Just wanted to add that Kurt Declerk won 5-4 over Henrik Larsson (wheelchair) and that Stepanov won 8-6 over Chamat.

Congratulations.

Also, Line just won 7-3 over Jasmin in 9-ball so Jasmin is no longer undefeated. Jasmin can still qualify for the single elimination stage and win all 4 events, but no longer undefeated.

Both of them are friends of mine, but I have to root for Line to win the 9-ball, but I hope it will be Jasmin she meet in the final. Still long way to go for both though...

It would be incredible cool if Jasmin win all 4, but it will mean a lot more economically for Line. Even though there are no prize money in these events, a gold medal for a Norwegian will automatically mean that this player can apply for $$ from the National Olympic Comittee, which is a yearly support of around $ 10 000.

I am sure a similar system is in place in Austria too, but with 3 gold medals already I think Jasmin should be ok :)

Jasmin Ouschan has just set a tremendous record to repeat only but never to beat. That's the first time there are 4 events at the EPC, 10-Ball is a new one. And Jasmin won ALL FOUR of them! Moreover, in 9-Ball finals on the last day of the tournament she demolished Gerda Hofstatter 7-0!
Whatever happens in year 2010 I'm certain Jasmin is a Player of the Year.
