Stick For A Bridge

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for someone interested in making a 2 piece stick (not a cue) that will be used to attach an EZ Bridge bridgehead to. The EZ Bridge can be seen here:

Butt diameter starting at about an inch with a straight taper down to the joint. Shaft tapering down to 13-14 mm. Open to suggestions on material, but would like to match my shooter/breaker as seen below.

Just so I understand your question. You want a cue length, two piece bridge "cue" that's one inch at the butt? By straight taper, do you mean one inch at the ass end and one inch at the joint, or one inch tapering down to "normal" joint size then continuing on down to 13-14 mm at the business end of the shaft?

If it was 1" at the butt end and 1" at the joint there'd be no taper. Looking for OAL 57"; joint at the midpoint; 1.000" at butt end straight tapering down to .5512" at the tip.

EZbridge

How do you like the bridge? Especially the "jump bridge"? How do you stabilize that bridge-by holding the vertical tower or "pinning down" the base between first and second fingertips?

I gotta figure you like it pretty well in order to want a matching extension stick made.

What type of material is the bridge made from? I assume it doesn't scratch your shafts.

BTW-nice cues. That said-this bridge must be kind to the shaft-eh?

Nice set up.

I've been looking for a mid table jump bridgeing alternative-this might be it. A little pricey-but gadgets are cool.

I wish I could answer all of your questions, but unfortunately I can't yet. I haven't used the EZBridge but was very impressed with it while watching the Diamond 10-Ball matches at SBE.

Having a bridge stick fabricated isn't specifically for the EZBridge, but it will be the first bridge head I try out with it. If I don't care for it, for whatever reason, I'll replace it with a moosehead bridge. My justification for investing in a quality bridge set up is to remove one of the variables in my game. I began wearing a glove on my bridge hand for the same reason - to remove variables from my game. With the glove on I get the same exact stroke and feel every day, every shot.

Once I get my bridge set up and practice with it it'll be the only bridge equipment I'll ever use. The way it is now I go to several different pool rooms and all have different types of bridge heads, some have the bridge head mounted on an old cue, others have a thinner, straight-tapered stick.

Regarding the jump bridge, I won't be getting one because I really don't jump much. I play primarily straight pool.

Thanks for the compliment on my cues. The shooter is a Schon Ltd. and the breaker is a custom from RHN Cues (Dick Neighbors)
