well... depends on the cue. prob need a refinish so your looking at atleast $120 right there. if its just like a sneaky pete then no big deal but other cues construction is a factor
That is a very very fair price Dave, but to the OP of this thread prices for this work will vary greatly from Cue maker to Cue maker and from location to locations.
The cue shown is a perfect candidate because it doesn't have an 'A' joint.
A cue with an 'A' joint involves considerably more work but can be done.
A total refinish is not necessary unless the client requests it. Spot finish in the area the received the work is all that is required.
I do quite a few of these conversions and actually, the price is about 1/2 of what's being quoted. Publicly quoting prices can be a slippery-slope.
You will have some wait as that is not an instant fix.
If someone brought that cue to me and a 6 pack of Shinner Bock he could stay to help me with the beer to watch it done and have it back in his hands before the beer was all gone.
Of course the epoxy would need to set overnight before using the cue.
Cost would vary as to what type of joint pin he wanted and whether or not there would be some rings added.
I dont recommend drinking and operating power equipment ...
I am a trained professional and the beer does help the pain when something drops on my bare feet or my fingers get caught in the lathe.
