Nice new interior Jack. This must have been the one I heard about. I am glad to see that you have decided to provide a better level of protection in your cases.

Is this going to be something that is available to all your past Pro-Lite customers?

Welcome to the padded interior club. Kudos to you for doing the right thing and making the interior of your cases be as good as the exterior.

Best,

John Barton

Nice case Mr. Jack. That will go well with his new set of cues I'm building.

Best Wishes,

Steve

Very nice, Jack... and of course we have to see the cues when done, Steve!
John Brumback is a true gentlemen, good for him.

Great case! Can we get information on your new insert? And if so can they be used as replacements in a pro-lite?thanks for sharing!

Nice case and new interior. Can the new interior be used as replacement for prolites or tube versions of your cases?I have one of each that I may want to upgrade. Thanks

Wow. That seemed like telling your opponent nice shot after he scratched on the 8 ball.

Wow. That seemed like telling your opponent nice shot after he scratched on the 8 ball.

How so? Jack is showing off the new padded interior. We have gone head to head over this for years with Jack telling people that a padded interior is not needed and now he is offering one.

I think it's great that Justis cases will now be standard with the type of interior that I feel provides better and proper protection for cues.

I almost feel that I have achieved a great personal milestone when Jack Justis changes his ways to emulate the very thing that I have championed for nearly 20 years.

Now I have nothing to complain about regarding his cases.

I feel that I am validated as a cue case maker when Jack steps over to my way of thinking.

So take it as you like but I see this as a great thing for cue case makers, consumers, and myself.

Of course I don't know exactly what this interior is like so we might still argue about the "amount" of padding but ANY padding is better than NO padding so I am genuinely impressed that Jack has listened to the consumers who also feel the way that I do in this regard.

I had already heard about this interior from others and Jack hinted at it to me in private. He also told me that nothing I have ever done was the reason for it. Well, perhaps that's true but I think we all know that I have been on this particular soapbox for as many years as I have been posting to these forums. I was the first to market with a padded interior for tube cases and I have been particularly active in developing new versions these past three years. I think it's fairly safe to assume that consumers have become more and more vocal in their preference for the type of protection that their cues deserve. Particularly the last few months when dozens of people from this forum have chosen the JB UltraPad interior for their existing Justis cases.

In any event it's good for everyone all the way around. People who choose a Justis get an excellent case with an interior that reflects the top craftsmanship that went into the exterior design. I get to have that good feeling of seeing one of the best in the industry change for the better due to my efforts. It's win-win-win.

So again, congratulations Jack. I am genuinely glad to see you choosing to offer better protection for your customer's cues.

Sincerely,

John Barton

A beauty of a case . Can't wait for mine. It's gonna be SWEET!

Great to see you again at the SBE.

That's exactly what I meant. It just seemed in poor taste. If I interpreted it wrong then I apologize. I have tremendous respect for the beautiful cases both of you make but hijacking his thread with an "I told you so" just doesn't seem right.

It's probably not right but I have good days and bad days when it comes to being politically correct. I just wanted to make sure that the record is straight as to who did what first here lest I be accused again of copying.

I suppose I could have started another thread but that would have been going out of the way. Or I could have let it slide and not said anything. As it is I think that Jack got a couple good bumps about the new interior and that's a good thing.

Sometimes it's just when you are told you are wrong as I was regarding this type of interior and put down as much then it kind of gets to me. I know, be the bigger man, etc...but you know sometimes you just have to stand up and be counted.

John Brumback will be the first among many who will benefit from this new interior. Padding really does make a difference in how well the case protects and a huge difference in the peace of mind the user has when they trust their cue to the case.

Anyway, that's really all I have to say about it.
