I have a chance to pick up a Valley Great 8 for $300. It needs new cloth and probably rails. Slate is good. Does it sound like a fair price? Johnnyt
Johnny, that table has a lot of end to end sag in the frame. If you're looking for a 8ft Valley, look for a 1990 Valley, as they're all plywood in the body panels. The 90' models are the first tables Valley changed the tin wrap around corners to the straight up and down body panel corners. Ask a vending company in your area if they have any 90' valleys for sale, you might be surprised as to how cheap they are. I'm picking up 3 8ft's 90' versions on Tue for $500 each on trade-in for Diamond tables. I'm going to put new rails on them and resell them for $1,500 each to another bar, giving them $200 each for their junk tables, then throw them in the dump after I'm done

Aren't the current models made this way , the straight up and down body panel corners ?
Yes, but not with all plywood side panels...unless that's a recent change in Valley![]()
