Specs. 1973 Joss hoppe style Bumperless with Ivory ring Ebony butt sleeve birdseye maple forearm with four Ebony points and veneers the veneer color green mahogany green mahogany Linen wrap Blk w/white spec SS joint 5/16-14 SS pin three shafts 2 with Ivory ferrules one shaft has a Linen ferrule all three shafts are 3.7 0z handle wt.16.0 oz total wt.19.7 cue has some very small Dings in the finish price $ 1,500.00 shipped but I'm open to offers!! cash only no trades please any ???? send me a pm Thanks, to all....all three joss cues are SOLD!!

Leon, These Joss cues were made when Bill Stroud, Dan Janes, were together 1968-1972. The hoppe cue is a 73 the other two are 68-72. Very nice offering. g.l. p.s. Tim may have had something to do with the 73 hoppe cue original owner Ben Harper Jr. Shreevport La. Dan has records of this.

I had a cue very similar to the bottom or far right cue and Dan Janes told me it was mid 70's, maybe even 77 or 78.

I think it should be clear that JOSS Cues were never made at the meathouse on Georgetown Road. Bob Frey and Mike Cochran were not involved with making JOSS Cues either.

The third cue is most likely from the Diamond Series that became discontinued once JOSS Cues made the transition to CNC in '85.

The second cue should be early 80's, also. I am not sure, but I don't think JOSS tried many joint materials other than SS & IV prior to the 80's.

The Hoppe style is late 70's for certain.

Regardless, they are all beautiful cues.

The Joss logo with the italic J dates the cues 1968-1972 100%
The hoppe cue is 1973

Sorry but your dates are off. The Hoppe is early 70s, the other two are 68-72 cues. By the 1980s Joss was using logos very different than what you see here.
