I was able to run some balls off this past week end with a "Lucasi Hybrid" cue. I was very happy with the action of the cue. Anyone else play with one?????

Randy,

I recently shot with a customer's Lucasi Hybrid, and like yourself, I was very pleased with the way it hit the ball. I also liked the feel of that "G" grip.

Hey Randy,

If you like I will buy you a Lucasi Hybrid and trade you for your current player. That is probably the nicest cue I have seen, I suspect it hits very well too. Just not as well as that Lucasi ;)

I've play with dozens of custom cues. I will not part from my Jerico custom, unless off course the cash was right.....LOL

I just was surprised at the hit of that Lucasi....SPF=randyg

I bought one for my son... he loves the grip.

................I really need to get him some lessons from you, though.

Not to change the thread too much, I got to try out a Lucasi jump cue.
I'm not big on jumping if I can find my way out somehow else.
Lucasi jumper was pretty much effortless compared to other jump cues I've tried. If I wanted a jumper, I wouldn't have a problem spending $100 Can on one.

cant get a lucasi were i live to buy

Which jump cue did you try out? The air hog or their older style one with the natural wood finish and the points? I tried both last year at the APA nationals and preferred the original L2000JC.

Love your avatar Justin!

The Lucasi Hybrid is basically the same as the universal smart shaft.(Lucasi bought them out) The smart shaft had changable joints and a high tech fabric sanwiched in a splice about a 1/4 of the way up the shaft. I agree, they play good. A pretty good balance of hit/feel and low deflection.

I bought one last year in april after sending my predator off and thinking I wasnt going to get it back, but I finally got my cue back and sold the hybrid for what I had in it,it had a cool grip and was a sporty little cue.I just didnt need anymore cues but they are nice

Hey Randy thanks for the post! I do have some questions after looking at one online. I must say I do kind of like the futuristic look of some of them. My questions lie in the shaft though. Reading it I can't help but think it has some striking resemblance to the Predator shafts. Is it laminate? Is it something else? How does it compare to the hit of an OB shaft or a Predator shaft? I don't like the feel of anything that is fiberglassed or coatings that don't feel like wood, so I was wondering more about this shaft. Does anyone have any info?
