When I was an APA LO, one guy in my league used to bring a 10" PVC pipe, filled with 10-12 cues, to league each week. He would screw one together, and shoot until he missed (usually 2-3 shots), then put it away and take another one out and do the same thing. By the end of the match, he would have gone through every cue, at least once. He was the butt of every joke in the place. Moral: Use one cue for your player, as DogsPlayingPool suggested. Switch out every once in awhile, if you want to play with all of your cues.
The analogy of golf clubs to pool cues is totally irrelevant. Different clubs are built for different things. Pool cues are basically all built the same, for the same purpose.

Why did you allow him to break the rules?
Or was there not a one cue plus break cue rule back then?
