If there are Arizona Players that are not qualified to play in this event I'd like to tell you that we are starting up our next sessions of BCA League Play the week of June 7th on multiple nights.

You will be able to get enough weeks in to play in this Regional Championship.

Also, with having multiple divisions in the tournament, it's really the B & Below players that are going to drive the success of this tournament.

Here are a list of BCA Leagues that are offered all over the state! Get Involved, Grab some friends and let's grow this event from the beginning!

Of course this event is open to all BCA Players, so we welcome out of state players to try and snatch the championships from our hands!

Stucky, how can I get qualified? As you know I am on the road alot and am not able to commit to a team. Is there any other way to sign onto the BCA league in Phoenix and qualify? I would love to take part and play in this event since its in my home town for a change. Let me know, thanks and I hope this comes off well.

I guess it comes down to how often you can actually be in town. You could be a sub for the league and not play every week, but you'd still have to get the required number of weeks.

We'll talk in Vegas and see if it's possible with your schedule!

Looks like Mark could at least be a Player Member.

I saw this announcement on the front page of AZB and if the Texas Open is not gonna happen this year (which is normally held over Labor Day weekend), I am gonna try and attend this BCAPL Southwest Regional event.

Oh great :( Never mind Stucky. I thought I had a chance to take that thing down but now we got Trigger coming out. You might as well let friggin Archer and Shane play too WTF? :) Be good to see u again Trigg you can stay at my house if you want. :)

Hi all...

The eligibity to play in the BCAPL Southwest Regional Championship is:

1. If you were eligible to play in the 2010 BCAPL National 8-Ball Championship.
2. If you are a new player who starts league after May 2010, you will just need 4 weeks of play between then and the event in Sept.
3. Have an up to date / current player membership designation

:) Sorry #2 was not mentioned in the press release, but will have all that information on the entry forms.

We will be able to take entries at the Riviera for this event and of course over the summer. We will know by then also exactly what the entry fees are and all further details.

I'm excited too, maybe I might be able to play :) depending on what I'm doing at the time.

Come on down to Fort McDowell Sept. 1-5 everyone...bring golf clubs too!

Thanks for the post

Jerry: Thanks for the post. I was in the middle of preparation for my tour finals here in WI when we were in the middle of finally signing this. A total of six months of negotiation due to a management change was needed. I am happy that the Radisson Hotel continued with the project and I am in hopes that this is just the beginning of a long term relationship and event at this property.
As you may have read in the past, the BCAPL is committed to providing quality tournaments to its membership. I am working with other states to create more regional events. This week I will be in contact with Ric Jones and the BCAPL to set the criteria for each division along with the rest of the format. We want to get the information out as quickly as possible so players can make travel plans and take time off work if needed.
We are blessed to be able to advertise and take entries at the nationals. This will be a great help. Arizona was on the top of the list due to the lack of a current state tournament and the number of players in the BCAPL. I also personally know many players from the region when I held a couple of tournaments in Albuquerque alongside the WPBA.
I look forward to seeing many players again at the mini tournament area at nationals or if I miss you there, check the poker tables!

No Problem! I checked your website and saw that you were probably pretty consumed with your tour finale tournament. Good to hear that you had a pretty good turn out.

I'm hoping we (phoenix peeps) can do whatever we can to promote this tournament and get the word to the most people.

The one key piece, I believe, is that there will be multiple divisions so that all players can have the same chance to compete.

I don't know the exact divisions yet, but I think 3 or 4 divisions would probably bring in the most players. Master, AA, A and B or something like that.

I got the luxury of playing in the Wisconsin BCA Tournament a few years back and seeing the B division completely full at 256 Men's players and then another 192 in the A division made for a huge and entertaining week.

The addition of a 9-ball event also will attract more players as we didn't have that in any of our state BCA tournaments in the past.

I sure how many players from neighboring states make the trip over to compete in this tournament!
