Another example where less is more. He could have added a bunch of inlays that would have just taken away from the cue.
My recommendation, and how I discuss with cuemakers is use great wood with some character, and leave out the inlays. I like veneered cues and having great veneers and nothing that just distracts is awesome.
I would done a hoppe butt, but otherwise it perfect IMO.
