Thanks Bill. I'll do that in a few minutes.
I'm not sure about this one. Thanks!ezjumper.com let me check to make sure it is the correct website
The 3/4" slate might be part of the problem.Right here is the first part of your problem Joey. 3/4" slate has more give so jumping takes more stroke. Then add the effect of a heavy c/b and jumping becomes a real effort. Another example is jumping on 2" slate (Conley ultimate) jumping is simple with a full cue. 2" slate is like a slab of concrete.

I've heard nothing but good things about that Steve Lomax cue maker.Joey ...Joey ...Joey ...I'm only gonna tell you this one more time.
GET A LOMAX JUMP CUE !!

Yep! I think you're right. When I go to bar table tournaments I will have a phenolic cue tip and a jump cue that has a little more weight than the Predator Air.The 3/4" slate on a Valley does give a bit when jumping, making it a lot harder to jump. I have tried The Frog, The Predetor, and a J B with a phenolic tip. The cheap cue with the phenolic tip jumps well on 3/4" slate. Johnnyt
Thanks T. The predator Air is GREAT for jumping with red circle cue balls and you're right about applying side spin. I haven't had much problem with it punishing me except on bar tables with heavy cue balls.Never been crazy about the Pred Air jumper. There's a lot of players out there much better than me that love them, but I personally think the plastic shaft is too flexible and doesn't transfer energy into the cue ball as easily as well made wood jump cues similar in weight.
When I had a Pred Air, it seemed like you could do more things with it as far as back spin, sidespin, but if you were just a little off, the thing would really punish you.
Try a Lomax when you get a chance.
Good luck!
I like the bungee and lucasi,
Mess and air-time make a mean jump cue as well..
I had Worked in a pool room for years, used to hit balls every chance I got with who ever and met losts of players..just about all of em had a jump cue, I got to try out lots of jump cues..lol..
_there is a few I did not come across and some new ones I have not used...
P.S jump shots on rug cloth or loose cloth don't work out like they do on tightly stretched tournament play cloth...I'm no pro player, just my option

Good luck on your jump shots

I will have to check out Mess (or Mezz?) and Air Time? jump cues. I had a bungee jump cue stolen from me and replaced it with a Predator Air. Never tried a Lucasi.
Thanks.
