Glass and steel pins interchangeable?

Will a shaft that was made for a cue with a 3/8-10 G-10 Glass pin (the 3/8-10 glass pin that is sold at Atlas billiard supplies, to be exact), also fit on a cue with a 3/8-10 steel pin?

Not necessarily. The same diameter and thread count does not mean interchangeable.
IE, some Schon shafts will not fit other Schon's with the same screw. There are more dynamics to a screw then just diameter and thread count.
 
With so many different majors and minors in the same style pin I believe it is going depend on if both pins came from the same manufacturer.
3/8 does not necessarily mean .375 in our industry.
I've seen pins "called" 3/8 that measure from .360 to .380 on the major.

I do see you said they both came from Atlas.....my guess would be yes.
 
Thanks guys, for the answers so far, but, I'm a little confused...four experienced cuemakers have responded, and two have said the joint pins are interchangeable, and two have said they're not...:confused:
