Hmm, I might get in trouble here,but I will respectfully disagree with the gambling each match proposals. Matching up and playing sets for cash is a totally different animal than sitting waiting for hours to play somebody in a blind draw. It's the mental thing. However, in order to be fair,perhaps you should go to the tournament,wait for the winner to be decided,and gamble with him. Cuts through all the bracket stuff and puts you against a guy you know will post! :thumbup:.

That means that you, like others, and myself are externally motivated. Its just like when you play an average player, you dont get up for the match. But when a killer or a champion is your opponent, you go hard for the victory. Best advice, go hard each and everytime, regardless whats on the line. Conquer the game!!
Not necessarily. I was on vacation in the States and decided to drop in on a weekly tournament. I did fairly well in the brackets and ended up playing in the finals. The guy I was playing is a local pro/hard core gambler. I beat him for the tournament win, and I'll openly admit that he's a higher level than me but I was on and he wasn't. Anyway, I beat him and he got really pissed off and started in on the "let's put that money up and see who the winner is" crap. I just smiled, broke down my cue and walked out. I knew he would probably win, and if he had been a gentleman about losing I probably would have put it up, but he had to be a whiner so I just let him stew in it.

I like the fact that if I'm playing a dude, I am either gonna win or lose that match, just like playing in the finals.
In a tourney, you might have to play eight or ten great matches to cash. And for the money, just ask Stevie Moore. He wishes he never played a tournament. It's "cost him thousands."
