I shoot with a McDermott I-3 shaft. In my opinion, I don't see any difference in performance between the I-3 and the OB-2. I don't like the OB-2 ferrule - it's distracting to me but the service is excellent. I've read several bad reviews of the Predator as far as quality and service. What sold me on the I-3 is the lifetime warranty. I've shipped back my shaft because I wore out the Moori Soft tip. Under warranty the tip was replaced, the shaft was cleaned and resealed at no charge. They provide this service twice a year for life. I did have to pay $21.95 for shipping and handling but I'd have to pay more than that if I just had the tip replaced locally. The warranty also covers warpage, so I dont have to worry about that. If possible, the best thing would be for you to test the various shafts yourself. It's somewhat subjective, so what I or others may think, it's really up to you to decide what plays best for you. But i would definetely try an I-2 or I-3 before you decide. The I-2 comes with a Moori Med tip and tip diameter is 12.75mm. The I-3 is equiped with a Moori Soft tip and has a tip diameter of 11.75mm. I bought my I-3 here on this forum used for $100 and it's covered by the warranty.
