CTE Training Locations

Well, not training locations per se, but I think it would be nice to have a list, by state, of CTE users who would be willing to show the system to a player who wants to learn it. I would love to have someone show me the system, but I, like probably many others, am unaware of any CTE users in my area. I would be willing to maintain a list by state in this thread if people want to offer their knowledge to people who sincerely want to learn?

Quite a few SPF Instructors are offering CTE as a class.

The best person I've seen explain CTE is Dave Segal from Pa.
SPF=randyg

Not to hijack, as I love the OP's idea, but is there a listing and contact information of SPF or BCA Instructors anywhere? I have done a little bit of Googling without great success. For me, finding anyone within 300-400 miles is gonna be a challenge, but such a listing might be quite helpful to others.

I'm around Portland OR I know and use CTE. I also have been to ProOne classes too!

And I've done 90 90 as well!

The BCA has a listing of all BCA instructors on their web site as noted above. SPF instructors are a sub-set of BCA instructors. I dare say RandyG would probably have the most comprehensive list of them.

Let him (or me) know where you are, and we can probably find one not too far from you.

Dr Dave has a list of instructors on his site

I'm in central Missouri. If you ever want to keep pool players away, just spray some central MO on you. It is apparently like DEET, but for pool players. No tournaments to speak of, very few leagues, oh, and what is this "instructor" creature people speak of?

No, I would be willing to go to St Louis or Kansas City to meet someone, and I also travel to other places a fair bit if I knew of someone in an area I was headed to. I just can't name one player in MO that uses CTE, but I know there have to be some.

Aaron, thank you for opening this thread.

I have long been intrigued by CTE in general and PRO-1 in particular.

Living on Camano Island WA, I am about as far from Mr. Shuffet as one can be and still be in the lower 48.

I was very disappointed when he "postponed" production and sale of an instructional DVD.

Will follow this thread avidly.

Thanks for the replies.

I will definetely check out Dr.Dave's page, and the BCA page too.

As for setting me up with anyone near me, well..... Bangor, Maine is just a wee bit off the beaten path. That's why I wanted to look at the lists, and see where anyone might be in northern New England, since I seriously doubt there's anyone near me. It would take a major bit of planning for me to make it work, but it still intrigues me to think about.

A comprehensive list would help lots of people, rather than just those of us who will come on here and ask about it. Pretty cool stuff, thanks everyone.

CTE, CTE, CTE, CTE....My god that is all I see in these forums nowadays. No stupid aiming system is going to make you a world champion or improve your game by miles instantly.

Get out and put some practice time in....

Subforum, anyone? [...points finger upwards towards the Sticky in the Main forum thread list...]

Stirring up the pot

since all the aiming threads are popping up again

This is precisely the type of crap that starts all the feuding in the first place. This is making trouble, stirring the pot.

And you have the gall (in previous posts) to complain about all the feuding that's going on, when your very actions are Exhibit A of a troublemaker?

Wisen up, weisenheimer.

If it bothers you so much, then why even look at the thread, or for that matter post in it.
I don't think there is a person here who thinks CTE or any other system is a world championship in a bottle, but if it makes them feel better about their game and god forbid makes them shoot a little better during the hours of practice time, more power to them.

You know and I know I am not usually one for stirring anything, but as of last night it got the best of me.We have got all these people who do their best to make a mockery of someone like John, badgering anyone who mentions anything about CTE,and on the same note they fill the forums with mocking threads,it is a crime to mention or bring up CTE but it is ok for them to mock and insult anyone trying to have a civil conversation about something they are interested in.Read all my previous post and then tell me I am a trouble maker.I am not a trouble maker and try to always be respectful ,but should they run everyone away and insult them and fill the boards with ridicule.Maybe I was wrong but look at the titles of these threads and content.I am sorry but I am human and yes it strikes a raw nerve.I also am withdrawing from these aiming threads.Look at whats went on before you point fingers.I will admit I stooped to their level for a brief moment, but as I said I am done with that garbage Sorry Sean
