Flat laminated maple squares

I'm currently looking for a source of flat laminated maple squares 1" x 30"+ and wider square sizes for handle stock too.

Any info greatly appreciated.

Hi,

If you find solid laminated plywood let me know. Be aware that if you buy premium grade maple plywood that the 2 outside layers are maple veneer but the inside lams are usually fir. There is birch plywood that has birch on the inside lams. I have looked for the laminated solid maple plywood but I can't find any.

Atlas sells 30" laminated 1" maple and they are solid maple throughout but it is expensive.

I still have a bunch of the ones I bought from Dufferin a few years ago. A number of the AZers have bought them but primarily for dowels. I know a couple were using them for break cue shafts but I know of none that thought they were acceptable for regular shafts.

Yeah, you have to be sure it's made so the grain is oriented the same direction also. Most plywood has the grain alternating to add strength in both directions, which is great for building a dog house but not so good for shaftwood! lol
 
I bought some flat laminated maple squares for shafts from atlas a while back and they were ok, stayed straight and hit pretty well.

How many flat laminates are there in an inch?
A few years back I chanced upon flat laminated stock with 30+ laminates per inch. I'm not sure if I remember it correctly though but it's definitely more than 16+.

This is what I'm currently searching for.
 
I don't remember exactly what the laminate count was on the ones from Atlas but it seems to me something like 25 or 30... in that neighborhood. But if you call the boys at atlas they can tell you for sure. As I remember there were a couple of dark spots here and there but nothing major. And the guys at Atlas were really pretty easy to work with too.

I have used some from them and overall they were not too bad. Had to let them hang a long time between turnings because they moved alot. I got some dowels from CC about 6 or 7 years ago and they were some of the most stable flat laminated blanks that I have ever used. I don't know if he still sells them now though.
 
I've used Roy Mason's laminated squares for several years now, mostly for coring and jump/break cues. For the price you can't beat them!

I was looking at the meucci black dot with 35 layers and I was thinking maybe anyone knows a source for that?
